Blia Moua, Director Blia has over 8 years of experience working as an activist, volunteer, teacher, social worker and director of a community center in Sacramento. Through this work she had the great opportunity to serve individuals of all ages ranging from infants/toddlers to seniors in various capacities. Blia has a Bachelors of Science in Liberal Studies and a Multiple Subjects Teacher Credential. She also has a Master’s of Social Work and a Pupil Personnel Credential. She is bilingual in Hmong and English. Currently, she is in the process of learning Spanish. Blia loves to spend time with family and friends. |

Jenny Yu, Family Services Outreach Coordinator
Jenny started working with Excelsior Family Connections in 2008. She supervises the Child Parent Drop-In Program in the mornings, and provides case management services in the afternoon. She is also in charge of outreach and planning community events. Jenny was born and raised in San Francisco, and is bilingual in English, Cantonese, and Toishan. She received her B.A. in Sociology and B.S. in Human Development from University of California, Davis. She enjoys working with families, and plans to go into marriage counseling. In her spare time, she loves to cook, host parties, and spend time with friends and family. |

Yadira Ortega, Family Services Assistant
Yadira has worked with Excelsior Family Connections since January 2007. She assists with the Child/Parent Drop-In Program, leads the Familias En Progresso Spanish Speaking Support Group, and co-facilitates parenting classes. Yadira has an Associate Teacher Child Development Permit from City College. She is also bilingual in Spanish and English. Yadira enjoys providing families with information and resources, and loves working in the community. |

Chan Ngoc Chau, Family Services Assistant Chan has worked for Excelsior Family Connections since January 2007. She works with the Child-Parent Drop-In Program and also leads the Asian Support Group. Prior to working with Excelsior Family Connections, Chan completed a 2 year volunteer community service program with AmeriCorps. She has an Associate Teacher Child Development Permit from City College of San Francisco. Chan speaks English, Cantonese, Mandarin, and Vietnamese. She enjoys working with people of all ages. In her spare time, she loves to cook, and spend time with her family. |

Theresa Calderon, Case Manager/Next Steps Lead Teacher Theresa Calderon joined Excelsior Family Connections in September of 2008. Theresa has over 5 years case management experience, and two years school based services experience. She graduated from San Francisco State University and will be applying to graduate school in the near future to earn her MSW degree. Theresa loves working in the non-profit field providing direct services to children, youth, and families. |
